visual feedback #1
I’m re-posting this, partly because I’ve changed the way I deal with images and I’ve spoken with people who had a hard time finding this content. So much has changed since the last time I dabbled with web publishing. I keep forgetting that if I can imagine an easy solution for something, someone else has probably already figured out a work-around.
I’m very interested in doing more “architectural interventions” in the near future and I’m looking for pre-demolition buildings to get my hands on temporarily. Let me know if you know about any opportunities in the North East.
An installation completed on October 10th 2006. I photographed the interiors of twenty two cabinets in a kitchen I was about to gut. After I simplified and manipulated the images I transfered them to the cabinet doors and cut out the images . In the final installation, which existed only for a couple of hours before the kitchen was demolished, the doors were lit from behind to become the primary room lighting.
