Ashe and I bought a really great camera before we left, a Sanyo Xacti which is small and light and waterproof and has pretty good image quality.  Overall it’s a big upgrade for traveling mostly because we don’t need to haul around video tapes and there is no more logging and capturing to deal with.  Unfortunately our lovely little camera takes a totally proprietary USB cable which I left in Costa Rica at a hotel.  I did this because I am a dumbass.  The chances of getting another one of these in Central America are virtually nil so it looks like we are bussing it back to Puerto Viejo as soon as we get a chance.  It’s a shame because I have lots to show and tell.  I really do apologize.
